This makes cents! Canada is phasing out pennies. The government says these coins cost more than they’re worth to produce, and getting rid of them will save taxpayers an estimated $11 million a year. In response to the currency change, all cash transactions in Canada will be rounded to the five-cent mark. The move may lead the U.S. to consider phasing out pennies as well, which also cost more than their face value to produce. This is change we can believe in.

Do you think the U.S. should get rid of pennies? Do you save/use pennies?
