Internet addiction may not yet be an officially-recognized mental disorder, but one hospital in Pennsylvania is getting a jump on treating it. Bradford Regional Medical Center’s internet addiction program is set to open next Monday. The 10-day inpatient program will include group therapy and psychiatric evaluations, as well as a total “digital detox.” The doctor who founded the non-profit treatment program believes internet addiction “can be more pervasive than alcoholism” since the web is “free, legal and fat-free.” To find out if you have a real problem and potentially qualify for treatment, take this quiz.
